Blog Observation 4

I went and observed my microaquarium on Friday at 1:30. There had been many significant changes since the very first week. One very noticeable one is the amount of water left in the aquarium. The water has dropped considerably. Also most of the organisms I had been seeing have now died. There are many skeletons throughout the aquarium now. I also identified a Litonotus that was still alive and swimming around.

Blog Observation 3

I went and observed my microaquarium for the 3rd time on Friday November 4th at 2. There were not many changes however. It appeared my water level had dropped a little. I saw basically the same organisms I had already been seeing there just seemed to be more of them.. I did see some new organisms that I identified as Philodina (Rainis and Russell 1996, p.188) that were swimming near where the food pellet was.

Biology Observation 1

I went Friday to observe my aquarium for the first time. My identification colored dots I used were Dark Blue, Green and Yellow. The water sample I chose to use was #12, the water pool below spring at Fountain City Park. My plants were Amblestegium from natural spring at Carters Mill Park, and Ultricularia from the south shore of Spain grown in water tanks outside of greenhouse at Hesler Biology Building. I have not been able to find any organisms yet but the water level has dropped.
